Am reposting this fabulous recipe.. Made this yesterday.. I do know it is a lot of you guys favorite and can be excited concerning the recipe.  As we speak's recipe is the genuine "Roat " (Maspin nice) (semolina cake)store model. The grainy and cardamom texture is to die for.  Let get began:

Maspin Roat (semolina cake/greo) Recipe:

Makes  25 to 30 slices:

Components:

-500grms of non-roasted coarse semolina.

-1 cup of plain flour, approx 200grms.

-250grms of unsalted butter.

-150grms ghee (clarified butter)

-2 cups of granulated sugar. Approx 400grms.

-Eight eggs.

-1/2 cups of milk powder.

- 2 teaspoons of baking powder.

-2 tablespoons of freshly floor cardamom powder.

- Pinch of yellow meals coloring.

-1/four to three/four cups of liquid milk (to loosen batter)

-sesame seeds and poppy seeds for garnish.

Strategies:

Cream ghee, unsalted butter and sugar, as soon as creamy add eggs separately. This step is essential, ensuring every egg may be very nicely mixed to creamy earlier than including the following egg..(I'd say three to four minutes between egg). Add within the yellow meals coloring and blend.

Add all of the dry substances, semolina, flour, cardamom powder, milk powder and baking powder. Combine till nicely mixed. Add within the 1/four cups of liquid milk and with a spatula to lose the batter.

Pour the batter right into a well-greased cake tin and add the sesame and poppy seeds on high, bake in a 180c preheated oven for 45 to 1hour or till full baked. Take away from oven and let cool fully earlier than demolding. Slice into squares and serve.. do have a attempt to let me know... xx love you all ..Chef Fadilah
